Uxcel’s professional UX/UI Designer Certification is awarded to individuals who successfully complete one timed exam.

Certification process

Our process is similar for all certification types.

Register - After you upgrade, you can start the exam at your convenience. It's recommended to complete the assessments in the first to ensure you're fully prepared for the certification.
Timed Exams - Once you start the exam, you'll have 2 hours and 2 attempts to complete each exam before your certification process resets. If you don’t pass the exam in the first 2 attempts, you’ll need to wait 30 days before you can retake it.
Congratulations - After you successfully pass the certification exam, you’ll receive your Certification.

What to expect during the exam

The UX/UI Designer Certification is a 2-hour exam where you'll demonstrate your proficiency in core design principles and knowledge. Most candidates typically complete it in 45 minutes. This exam assesses your abilities to:

Here’s what to expect during your certification exam:
  • Online and unproctored
  • 80 questions
  • 2 hour time limit
  • 2 attempts to pass, after which there is a 30-day lockout period
  • 85% score or higher to pass

Is a subscription required to access certification?
Yes — Uxcel Certifications are available exclusively to Pro members and Teams plan users. An active subscription gives you access to the certification exams and all preparation materials.

How long do I have to complete the certification exam?
Each certification exam is timed at 120 minutes. This gives you ample time to carefully review each question and complete the exam at your own pace.

What is the total time commitment to get certified?
Most learners spend 7–10 days preparing. While the exam itself is 2 hours long, many users finish it in under an hour. You’ll have two attempts to pass, with no time restriction between attempts.

How can I make sure I’m ready for certification?
To prepare effectively, we recommend:
