Design Workshop Plan — Taskly Product Team

This workshop plan was created to help the Taskly design team identify and prioritize new feature ideas. The one-day session includes ideation, prioritization, and rapid prototyping activities, ending with a clear action plan and deliverables. The goal is to foster collaboration, creativity, and strategic focus while aligning the team around the most valuable product opportunities.

Hi Gerda!

It's a good start on planning a workshop. It has clear structure, has a goal to start from & it is clear what you are looking to get out of it. That being said, It was a little tough for my eyes to go through the plan because it has a very liniar style, you could try to give it in the future also some visual hierarchy by working with different font sizes, font weights, to have more structure. I hope it's not written in AI and you only did a screenshot from AI & I hope it's you putting thought and effort into this(nothing wrong with using AI, but only as a helper, with your validation & investigation on top)!

I'm missing some more context like what number of people you have in plan to have maximum in this workshop? If you have lots of people it will be harder for you to facilitate and stay in the proposed time frames. Is this in person, hybrid? (In this day and age it matters to think about this too, because you will need to do different preparations for activities depending on how the workshop takes place).

I would think about also how to set the rules for the group in the beginning (like any game has its rules, workshops do too. You as a facilitator can present some rules to the group if you don't have that much time, while best is to decide with the group in the beginning what are some rules of engagement). You can make use during the workshop of these rules you mentioned in the beginning to make sure you keep the workshop on the right track.

It would be nice if you also present what icebreaker activity are you thinking about. There are different icebreakers that work for specific workshop situations/context/purposes. And you could explain why you chose a specific ice breaker, what are you expecting out of it.

Take care with the breaks! I see only one coffee break in the morning, but what about after lunch? You can at maximum keep people engaged for 2 hours, then you need to give them a break.

Related to ideation, for the goal you specified, I would also for example look into other ways of ideation too, like brainwriting, which is collaborative, and builds ideas on top of other participants ideas.

Keep creating & being awesome!
