Settings Page Mobile App - Starbucks
I chose to redesign Starbucks’s current settings page. My primary objective was to imagine someone who wants to find where they can change their passwords quickly.
I began looking at other mobile app settings pages like Facebook and McDonalds. It seems like icons were used to provide a visual, intuitive way for users to identify and access different settings functions quickly.
I liked that the current Starbucks settings page had everything on one page, not too many pages to go through to find what you need; so, I kept the layout but added icons to the headings.

Hi Joyce,
Great job on reimagining the Starbucks settings page! It’s clear you put thought into making the page more intuitive, especially for users who want quick access to features like changing their passwords. I really like how you drew inspiration from other apps, such as Facebook and McDonald’s, and incorporated icons to enhance usability. Keeping the single-page layout was also a smart choice, as it avoids overwhelming users with too many steps.
That said, I’d rate the presentation a 3 out of 5, mainly because it feels a bit underdeveloped. Showing a before-and-after comparison or explaining in more detail how the redesign improves the user experience would really strengthen your case. For instance, why did you choose those particular icons, and how do they enhance the experience for Starbucks’ audience? Including additional visuals, like mockups of how the design looks when in use or how it adapts to different devices, could also make the redesign feel more complete.
You’re definitely on the right track, and with a bit more polish in your presentation, your work could really stand out. Great effort—I’m excited to see where you take this next! 😊
