FAQs
What is the Pulse skill assessment?
Pulse is an adaptive, role-specific assessment that accurately measures your skill level across key areas in digital product work. Whether you're in design, product, or research, Pulse provides a comprehensive view of your strengths, blind spots, and growth areas—powered by dynamic questions tailored to your role.
How is Pulse different from a regular assessment?
Unlike standard assessments, Pulse adapts to your answers in real time and is designed to be taken multiple times. It emphasizes consistency over time rather than performance on a single attempt. The more you take Pulse, the more reliable your skill profile becomes—making it ideal for long-term growth tracking and development planning.
Can I take the Pulse assessment more than once?
Yes! In fact, we recommend it. Pulse is built for repeat attempts—each time you take it, your results contribute to a more reliable picture of your abilities. You'll need to complete the assessment at least six times to achieve a fully reliable skill score.
What happens when I complete a Pulse assessment?
You’ll receive a detailed performance dashboard that includes personalized insights, role-based benchmarks, and targeted learning recommendations. Your Skill Graph will also update to reflect your progress. Over time, you’ll see a clearer view of how your abilities are evolving.
Do I need to pay to take Pulse?
You can take the Pulse assessment for free. However, to unlock detailed feedback—such as the ability to review your answers, track improvement over time, and see personalized learning paths—you'll need to upgrade to a Uxcel Pro subscription.
Are my Pulse results private?
Yes. Your Pulse results are completely private and only visible to you unless you choose to share them. You’re always in control of who sees your performance data.
